The Foreign designer invitation show at Seoul Fashion Week
Popular New York-base designer Phillip Lim visited Korea for his flagship store opening in Cheongdam-dong in Seoul. He presented his new collection-previously showed in New York during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week- again today for his fans in Korea during Seoul Fashion Week S/S 2010. The collection was opened with lipstick-red shirt jacket and 'Guru' pants with roll-down waistband. Lim, inspired by Gagosian gallery's "Picasso : Mosqueteros" exhibition from last summer, delivered deconstructed and reconstructed separates in his unique perspective. Standouts includes white button-down shirt featuring exposed back with ribbon-tie detail, oversized stones and clams, croco-embroidered sequin details while crispy poplin shirt jacket with 'Guru' pants were 'new suit' of the season. Then party frocks featuring delicate accordion pleats appeared while they featured different front and back, or 3D pleats details that completed unique 'collage' techniques. Also, trendy accessory line including provocatively sexy kill heels, sculpted chain, crystal and ribbon necklace, transformable clutch, were very stylish. Korean fashionistas visited and enjoyed the show today including Yun Eunhye, Kim Minhee, Kim Haneul, Park Shiyeon, Lee Jiah, Cha Yeryun, Choi Ganghee, Yun Gyesang, Lee Mingi and Kim Bum.
