World-famous Japanese Fashion Designer
The Japan Foundation, Bangkok, in cooperation with JUNKO KOSHINO INC., Embassy of Japan in Thailand, and Bunka Fashion Academy proudly present the “Special Talk and Film Show” by the world-famous Japanese fashion designer, Ms. Junko Koshino.
Junko Koshino, starting her career as fashion designer from the early 60’s, has gained her reputation as an outstanding and talented fashion designer both in Japan and abroad. Her repertoire varies from her own collections and design gallery in leading fashion cities such as Paris, New York and Tokyo; special costume design for famous corporate and sport teams such as Rial Ford Team Formula 1 Grand Prix and Yomiuri Verdi Kawasaki Football team; also costume designs for opera and musical plays both in Japan and abroad, of which her design for Broadway Musical “Pacific Overture” was nominated for the 59th TONY AWARD in 2005, including Ministry of Culture awarded musical “Tottemo-Ghost”.
Junko Koshino was appointed to YOKOSO Japan Ambassador in 2008. As an established fashion designer, she has been active in creating exciting movements in the fashion world and also has been involved in much cultural exchange through her fashion design activities in many countries such as China, Vietnam, Cuba, as well as Italy, France, U.S.A etc.
In this memorable evening, Junko Koshino will share her experience
as a frontline designer on the topic “Mode et Construction”, with a special film
showing of her latest catwalk fashion show on 23rd July in Tokyo.
